WORK IN PROGRESS
What is currently happening in the studio
These are just the first steps in the creation of this piece
This mixed media piece is 48”x48” and is comprised of historical photos and articles that tell the story of a real estate development company based in Colorado. This is part of set with the Grant piece.
When commissioned, I document my process by creating short time lapse videos. I have found that this is a great way of keeping the groups that commission my pieces connected to the piece while its being created.

Part of my process when commissioned is to create time lapse video updates for clients. It connects everyone to the process of creating their piece and some insight into how I create.
Most of my commissioned pieces are mixed media portraits that consume a ton of time and concentration. Between creating portraits, I love to spend time creating simple geometric pieces that experiment in color placement and different techniques. Their simplicity is beautiful to me.
I love color and the simplicity of the geometric layouts allows the saturated colors to be the focus.
My color choices, and application are not traditional for portraits, but I believe. that the unconventional approach tells the subjects’ story. Whether you know them or not, hopefully these portraits make you feel something.
Paka’ Li- Chickasaw for Midday Bloom, which is my Native American name. My indigenous roots are a constant influence in my art. With this piece I wanted to tell a little about myself in an abstract way. Ever changing, persistent, and searching for simplicity.
The creation of this piece took over 320 hours, and consists of over 1000 paper roses.
This piece was commissioned for a food hall in Denver, the Milk Market. The client wanted a fun and whimsical way to incorporate each of the different food and beverage brands, and plans for the space, while being reflective of them as a couple- they are super cool!

My background in landscape architecture has lead to a deep appreciate for the beauty to be found in nature.
A quick glimpse into some time off from the office
Several commissioned pieces have lead to the opportunity to propose on a few murals. I like the idea of murals being modern, simple and clean.
When working in a new media or surface I like to mock up options and test assumptions. My studio loves getting a makeover too!

A departure from the rigidity of portraits and geometrics, this category has no hard edges. It is fluid, organic movement
